THE COLLABORATIVE LATEX EDITOR

A research workspace
for you and your agents.

Write LaTeX together. See changes live. Bring the agents you already use into the same project.

MADE FOR THE WORK

Keep your attention
on the paper.

Source, references and a live preview. A familiar place to think, write and work things out together.

Wave propagation in bounded media, compiled from LaTeX
BRING YOUR OWN AGENT

Your agents.
In your project.

Give the tools you already use a place to work. Connect an agent through MCP to read your manuscript, upload figures, organise files and compile the result.

Their changes appear live in your editor. You keep working from the same source.

Add the new wave figure to the paper, tidy the file names, and check it compiles.

One shared project

No exporting a copy to an AI tool and bringing it back. People and agents work in the same project.

You choose the access

Review proposed changes or delegate direct editing. Choose the projects. Revoke access when you need to.

Work you can inspect

See what changed, who changed it and the compiled result. Keep a clear path back to earlier work.

LESS TIME BETWEEN THOUGHTS

From edit
to preview.

How long does an edit take to reach the PDF? We tested the same synthetic projects in Tutki, Overleaf Free, TeXPage Free and CoCalc Free. Explore the results and the conditions behind them.

Time from edit to preview

4 pages · Warm editing

Tutki and Overleaf: September 12. TeXPage and CoCalc: September 14–15, 2026. CoCalc uses an explicit build shortcut; the others compile automatically.

Medians of successful previews; up to 10 edits per case. Failed trials have no bar. The scale changes by project. Separate measurement runs, not a controlled four-product test. Warm builds, not startup.

A new workspace.
The same research.

Download your source ZIP from Overleaf and bring it into Tutki. Your manuscript, references and figures come with you.

Import your project

Source files transfer. Sharing permissions and version history stay with the original project.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Before you
begin.

Can I bring my projects from Overleaf?

Yes. Download your project's source as a ZIP from Overleaf, then import it into Tutki. Your source files, bibliography and figures stay together. Sharing permissions and version history don't transfer.

Do I need to learn a new way to write?

Tutki uses ordinary LaTeX files and a full TeX Live installation. The editor currently compiles with pdfLaTeX. You can download your project as a ZIP whenever you need it.

Can I use the agents I already work with?

Yes. Connect a compatible agent through MCP, using your existing AI service. Choose which projects it can access and whether it can propose changes or edit directly.

Will I see what my agent is doing?

File uploads, edits, moves and renames appear live in connected editors. Changes are attributable and recoverable. If your connection drops, Tutki shows the connection state and synchronizes when you reconnect.

What's included in Free?

Three owned projects, ten editing collaborators plus you per project, unlimited viewers, and a 30-second compile allowance per build. Each project has 5 GB of storage shared between current files and recovery items. Projects shared with you don't use an owned-project slot.

Is there a paid plan?
